Strings of Thoughts

You are now entering the minds of two highly random and odd human beings. Consider this your warning.

The Triple A Effect.

What is the triple a? one might ask.

I will tell you, good people of the internet. The triple a is naturally

Academy Awards Adventures

My lovely partner in crime and I have have them every year – the adventures – and this year is no exception. I recently posted about how busy lives we keep but that is not going to stop us from going all in on the Oscars.

Be prepared.

Tomorrow is the day that we get on a bus to go to the airport to fly to New York to take the subway to see the most wonderful Pernille in the whole wide world.

Therefore preparations have slowly begun. International drivers licences have been acquired – despite the case of the missing green stamp – audio books have been downloaded to iPods, airplanes have been checked into, adapters have been unearthed from underneath beds and laundry have been washed, and so forth. Packing shall commence later today, well let’s be honest I’ll wait till tonight to start.

Once the bags have been packed all I need to do is sleep for one more night and then I get to go to NEW YORK CITY. I can already promise that I’ll be a pain in the ass on all the social media, especially Instagram and Snapchat and you’ll all be jealous of me and I’ll be like:

suffer bitch

I’m not even sorry because I need this vacation and reunion with Pernille so bad. Life has been kicking my ass lately; now it’s time for me to kick life’s ass.

All suggestions for places to see are welcome in the comments!

Focus Diana. Focus!

So two more days and then I’ll be all: “Sayonara” Denmark and “Hello” New York*.

Tomorrow I’m going to an event at my old University, so this is my last day before the vacation at the actual office. My brain is so scattered and unfocused it is incredible I can even write, yet alone spell. I need to be rescued, I need to be rescued bad.

So long, and thanks for all the GIFs.

I love that you used so many GIFs in your last post. It made me have all the feels. All the feels!

This was my favourite:

not funny

All the post taught me though, is that I will never understand your relationship with Charlie. Oh! also. Dear reader, The Hulk is my old computer – I feel like that is an important piece of information in your quest to understand Rikke’s previous rant. I want to kill Charlie!

So you know Charlie, right? Charlie is my computer and he is old. So old that he will be five in January. He has been been wiped clean a couple of times, he has some issues with ventilation and makes more noise than a lawn mower, plus he refuses to charge his battery and thus must always be plugged in, but he is my only hope, so I make do. Most of the time.

A couple of weeks ago he decided to not close down after an update. I made sure he had power, so he didn’t close on accident and went to bed. Two days later he was still attempting to close down and I just had enough. I ranted and raved and yelled and demanded that he act normally. Continue reading “I want to kill Charlie!”

Pride and Prejudice… and zombies?

I am rather certain that our weekend really cemented our status as Janeites. Okay okay maybe not that drastic, but really we sat through Lost in Austen for the sake of it.

Maybe I am getting a little ahead of myself here, and I need to explain what we actually did all weekend.

My partner in crime, Rikke, and I watched pretty much all the Pride and Prejudice we hadn’t already. Which means 10+ hours of Pride and Prejudice adaptations. We went through Lost in Austen, Death comes to Pemberley, Pride and Prejudice 1980 BBC mini series, Pride and Prejudice 1940 movie and Bride and Prejudice. We skipped the ones we have already watched, which are Pride and Prejudice 1995 BBC mini series, The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and Pride and Prejudice 2005 movie along with two extras – as you might call them – Austenland and Bridget Jones’s Diary. All in all a lot of hours have been spent with Pride and Prejudice. Continue reading “Pride and Prejudice… and zombies?”

Let’s dance.

I’m not doing to good at the moment. Being busy was a lot easier in my early twenties than now, in my late twenties. Back in the day I remember partying several nights a week, studying for my graduate degree, working (night shifts even), volunteering here and there and still somehow manage to be well rested and on top of the world.

I’ve been travelling across Denmark for the last two weekends now, but mostly kept my week nights free, and still I am exhausted most of the time. How do people with kids manage? How do people over 30 manage?

Life is hard and we have way to few impromptu dance parties in the living room, to release the stress and some much needed endorphins.

Dance party

Let’s try and have more of those?

Excuses, excuses. What are they good for? Absolutely nothing!

First you are all:

“Then this raccoon came in and took my computer, so I couldn’t post anything.”

But the you turn it around and are all:

Zombie problems.

Don’t blame iZombie for your total lack of contemplation skills.

Oh and also, I just really wanted to post a gif of Bradley James.

There is a first time for everything.

Well, you see, there is a very simple answer to the lack of promised post…
